Okay, and then there was that inning where KarenC thought she counted as three women... Sigh. That experiment didn't work either. Maybe we should have left the field set up incorrectly the way the Cincos had placed the bases and cones? All told, it wasn't a horrible game. We had some really good stuff defensively, like Karen's -handed catches in the first and fifth innings, Ron's amazing shoestring catch at short in the third inning, and a good heads-up play by Bob to get the runner at second. Offensively, we didn't have any home runs or triples, but Leo had a good sharp hit that surprised the third baseman, Paul hit one that went between the shortstops legs, and we discovered that Mikael hits better when he takes his sunglasses off... esp. in the later innings. RBIs were knocked in by Andrew (2), Ron, Dave (2), KarenT and BobbyJoe.
Our next game is MONDAY MAY 6 against the Crawdads on field H3 (the one where we were last week). We'll be the home team again. The email reminder will come out on Thursday, since I'll be out of town on Friday, and voicemail will come out on Friday (if I remember to set it up). Everyone please be sure I know if you're coming or not.
See ya Monday!
Karen :)
