Who came (kinda-sorta in order of arrival): Karen, Mark, Jenny, Mary Beth, Dave, Abi, Jes, John, Gary, Andy, Jenn, Brad, Dave, Marc, Beth, Dan, Mike, Gretchen, and Tina. Remember, with a couple of exceptions, batting order is largely determined by order of arrival, so the earlier you arrive, the earlier you bat.
Who saw: Emily, Max, Ellie, Jessie, Cassie, Jill, Linda and Sable. Most notable fan of the game was Gary's mom, Kay, visiting her little boy from New Jersey for the week.
Who conquered: the TOADS 29-8 (but hey, we did 400% better than last week!)
Injuries to date: ZERO!
It was a wild and wooly game, punctuated by our first home run of the season, a stop-and-goer by Abi, and a couple of triples and doubles. We also benefitted by RBI's (or is that R's-BI?) from John, Gary (2), Andy, Brad, Dave, and Marc. Defensively, we tried really hard, and made some really good plays. We're definitely getting better.
The post-game pizza fest at Round Table was attended by Marc, Gretchen, and Karen (come on everyone... dinner is part of the game!!) ;)
Our next game is Thursday May 8 against the LA Radars on field H2 (the one where we were for the first game). I already know Andy and Jes won't be there. If anyone else is going to miss the game, please let me know ASAP so I can decide if I'll need to go begging.
Remember, if you want to get in some hitting practice, show up early.
See
ya!
