Tonight's slogan: "Thank goodness for the mercy rule!"

This was our smallest Bruiser turnout so far for the year, with the largest run differential, as we rolled around in the mercy rule for most of the game. I think we're the only team in the league who laughs when they get mercied... :) Fortunately, the adult's game was injury-free, although the kid's game wasn't. Poor Max got smacked in the face with a ball, but he was fine by dinnertime. He gets the Tough Kid Award for tonight.

Defensively, we did have a few highlights like Jenny's ferocious 8-6-2-4 rundown of a Cadet caught between second and third bases in the sixth inning, and her snag of a line drive in the fifth. We also had some nice outfield catches by BobbyJoe, JohnD and Scott, and a great 6-3 play between Ron and Marc to get the batter going to first. Offensively, we had home runs by Andrew and Dave, and RBIs were knocked in by Andrew, Ron, Dave (4), and somebody in the second inning who RBI'd JohnD. The "Who's he talking to?" award goes to Dave who took his cell phone with him on-deck in the fifth inning.

Next week's game is WEDNESDAY May 23 on field H3 against the Lunatic Fringe. This is the team Kent and Renaud defected to, so everyone come out and play. I think we'll be missing Shaunna, Dave, Liza, and possibly Scott, Andy and JohnD. Everyone please be sure I know if you're coming or not.

See you next week - Aloha!!

Karen :)
