The bad news: We lost. But we already figured it would be that way so we weren't supprised.

The good news: We ended in double-digits, it took until the fifth inning before the Homers were able to mercy us (and even then it only lasted half an inning), we didn't end the game in mercy (much to their chagrin - haha), we held them to under 20 runs and not nearly as many home runs as they hoped, and nobody from either team broke any body parts. This may be the Bruisers' best game against the Homers, previous games having ended 29-10, 29-14, 30 5, 31-17, 22-8, and 23-2.

Defensively, Paul and Dave made some great outfield catches, KarenC made a good catch at her newest position, shortstop, in the first inning, Jes made a really good catch of a spinning line drive at second base (should we not mention the boffed catch later in the inning?), and Bob(SS) did a great job of backing up Nancy(P) by scooping up a ball that got behind her and throwing out the runner at first. Game kudos go to the men of the night - Bob and Ron(1B) for their double play in the fourth inning and the all Bob-Ron sixth inning. Offensive highlights include home runs by Bob and Dave, a triple by Paul, and a coulda-been-a-double by Ann. RBIs were knocked in by Bob (4), Jes, Dave (4), and Amy.

Next game is Tuesday June 18 on field H5 (yes 5, not 3) which is where home run balls to center field go if you're playing on H2 (look at the map). Everyone please be sure I know if you're coming or not.

Have a great weekend!
Karen :)

A snippet from the follow-on note by the Homer's archivist in response to the Homer's game report for their game this week:
> o In the Bruisers game, the Bruisers hit more home runs than the Homers.
> That's frightening.
