A warm Summer afternoon, a small Bruiser team, a lot of runs, and even a mostly friendly game against the Paper Tigers - does it get any better than this? The game was marked by the Bruisers quickly falling into a deep hole, 13-0, but the relentless Bruisers kept cutting away at the Paper Tigers, eventually eliminating the mercy rule and finishing a respectable 6 runs behind.

Offensive notables: every Bruiser got on base at least twice, every Bruiser but one got to score at least one run, Don hit a 2 run HR, Nancy scored many runs both as herself and as a sub-runner for Ann, and Mikael hit a powerhouse triple.

Defensively JohnD made a nice putout to Jes at second from the outfield, Leo had a very solid game at third, Nancy made a nice snag for a putout at first. Ann got to play in both halves of the last few innings. Bruise honors go to Eric for his World Cup goalie imitation when using his left shoulder to save a shot in right field.

Our next game is next MONDAY JULY 1 on field H5 against the Goat Scouts. The game starts at 5:30, so PLEASE be early to stretch and warm up.
