It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon once it started cooling off. Unfortunately, we were busier getting sun than our opponents were (but hey, that's okay!) They made a lot of good plays, cutting down a lot of our lead runners, and did a good job hitting balls waaaaayyyyyyy into the outfield.

We had our own shining moments, however, like Nancy catching a line drive at pitcher to end the fourth inning, nifty plays by Jim at SS, Garson and Earl's outfield catches, and KarenC's "I need a defibrillator" catch of a really really really really high pop fly at 2nd in the fifth inning... guided by a loud voice out of the blue getting everyone else out of my way (thanks JohnK!). Don't forget, everyone needs to tell Scott next week that I did use two hands to catch it. Thanks also to Jes, KarenT, Jim and Garson for all the extra running they did. Me, I was finally able to do my own running (yaay! even though I never had to run very far). Home runs were hit by Andrew (I'm not counting!) and MikeG, and RBIs were hit in by Jes, Andrew, and MikeG

Next game is Thursday 7/6 vs. the Gravity Fielders. We're not home team (finally), so we can start taking care of that empty photo gallery problem. I know we'll be missing Jes, KarenT and BobbyJoe. Scott will be back, and you can ask him what he missed more during the RAAM... cold beer, a warm bed, or me (I promise not to listen!!) Everyone please be sure if I can expect you or not.

See you next week, and have a great holiday!
Karen :)
