The quote "It's a mixture between funny and pathetic" was heard on the Bruiser side of the field. And so it was. It was a very pleasant afternoon, and the Goat Scouts were (mostly) equally pleasant to play with. It took them three inning to put the first mercy on us, and five to get the double (which neither the Homers or TOADs were able to do!), but thanks to Bryan we were able to finish the game out of the double-mercy.

Defensive highlights include a great back-up catch by Bryan(SS) on a line drive missed by Leo(3B) in the first inning, a good catch by Paul(RF) in the outfield, and a very nice Leo(3B)-BobbyJoe(1B) to get a runner in the fourth inning. Offensively, we had no home runs or triples, but lots of singles and a couple of doubles. RBIs were produced in by ScottM, Ann (2), Bryan (3), Ron, Jes, Andrew (2), Leo (3), and ScottE (2).

Next week will likely have a batting cage practice on Wednesday evening at Grand Slam in Monrovia. Details to follow.

Our next game is TUESDAY July 16 against Baseline Interference (the former "Fringes").

Have a safe holiday!
Karen :)
