Although the earlier afternoon's weather was pretty icky, it cleared up (and dried up) enough for us to have our second game of the season against the Eclectic Eccentrics.

Defensively, we didn't do too badly, except when the Eccentrics found the holes in our outfield. Jim was valiant at catcher, making at least three really good attempts to get runners. Good infield plays happened between pretty much everyone on the infield to Ron at first to get runners, too. Things were actually going along reasonably well until the unthinkable happened... an Eclectic woman lined one to left, over Scott's head, for a home run in the fourth inning. Oh my goodness, tsk, tsk, tsk. He should hope the Homers don't find out about this!! "Burn 'em, baby, burn 'em". Offensively, home runs were hit by Scott and Bob, and RBIs were knocked in by Scott (2), Amy, Bob, and Jim.

Our next game is next Thursday July 12 against the Wild-IR Turkeys (merge of Wild Turkeys and IR Sox). Yes, I'm sure this time. The game will be on field H3 (same as tonight). We'll be missing Andy, Shaunna, BobbyJoe, Scott (Homer game on H2 so don't use him as a landmark), Greg, and KarenT, and Jesse & Ellie who'll be on a Bruiser Fans recruiting trip back east for two weeks.
