The old Bruisers are back! We knew we were in trouble when the Radars wasted no time putting down the mercy on us by getting 10 runs in the first inning. On the good side, however, we didn't get double mercied, although we came pretty close. It kinda looked like last week's Homers game against the Radars.

Defensive highlights include alert pop up catches by catchers Jim and BobbyJoe, the catch of a line drive by KarenC at 3B in the third inning, and the all-Ron-Earl fourth inning. Offensively, we had home runs by Scott and Earl (2), and a triple by Ron. RBIs were hit in by Scott (3), BobbyJoe, Earl (4), and Dave. It should be noted that, while figuring out which guy hit the last male out and would to run for Dave in the fifth, we had to go all the way back to the first inning -- meaning that all the other outs were earned by the women. Yikes. To the batting cages, everyone!!!

Next week is a bye week so there's no game. Our next game is THURSDAY AUGUST 16 on field H2 against the Deep Space Cadets

Since we don't have a game next week, I'll head up a group outing to Grand Slam batting cages in Monrovia on Wednesday August 8 at 6:00 p.m. for whoever wants to come (they close at 7pm, so we can't really start any later). If you plan to come, please email me by Monday August 6. If you can't come to the cages that night, then please pick another day that week to go to the cages on your own.

Have a good week off (except for getting batting practice!) Karen :)
