It was a beautiful afternoon and the Turkeys came out loaded for bear, stocked with ringers, and seeking revenge for their previously-injured player. Well, they got it. This game evens our record for the season.

Very few game notes were written down, but we did have some good plays. Shaunna(2B) made a good play to Pat(1B) in the fifth, Ron made a couple of good plays at SS, KarenC caught a line drive in the second inning and a wannabe foul ball in the fourth, Leo tagged a runner at third. Weird stuff was happening in the outfield, but some good catches were made out there, too. Nancy had a busy day on the mound, deflecting a hit to third base with her knee, which rolled toward third base and was picked up by Andrew to tag the runner. Note the very clear stitch marks!

Offensively, we had one home run from Andrew, and RBIs by Andrew (2), Pat, Ron, Leo, and ScottE. Uncle Marty came in to bat in the 6th inning, and got a nice long single.

Our next game is Monday August 25 against the Fringes, with the party afterwards. I have no idea who won't be at the game, but it looks like we'll have about a thousand Bruisers. Everyone be on time!!
