It was a beautiful day to play, and a great day to have a birthday (right Dave?!) We had a full complement of players, and played fairly well, despite the final score. Offensively we got a bunch of hits; no home runs, but RBIs were earned by John, Jes (2), Dave, Renaud, Shaunna, Marc (2) and Jenny. Defensively we got some good plays, including an inning-ending catch in short field by Shaunna, and a Jes-Marc combo to get the runner at first. Competition continued off the field at Robin's where Kent introduced Yves and Renaud the thrill of PacMan.

Next (and final) game is next Thursday August 28 against the L.A. Radars on field H3 (by the ball-eating sewer). So far I know for sure we'll be missing Mark, John, Gary and Scott; everyone else please be sure I know if you'll be at the game or not.

PARTY INFO: Be at the game early so we can start on time and get to the end-of-season party at Andy and Jill's house afterwards. Dinner will be BBQ'd burgers, hot dogs and other stuff. Drinks will consist mainly of sodas, so if you require something different you should bring it. Cost will be a couple of bucks per person, to be determined after Andy and Jill go shopping. The pool will be available, so don't forget to bring your swim gear. I'll have directions from Andy next week.

Please let me know if you're coming so enough food can be purchased. No, it's not strictly required that you come to the game first before the party, but it would be very nice. You still have to RSVP.
